Lane is getting geared up for racing season. He’s had lots of time off and unfortunately, the weather has been horrible so really, aside from a few indoor races, he hasn’t had much practice.
We are all looking forward to the big Kicker Arenacross in Guthrie, Oklahoma which is coming up January 15 and 16. Lots of friends there and hopefully lots of fans come out to see Lane. Lane’s coach and our good friend Cody Elkins will be there doing the freestyle show so we can’t wait to see him. (And a big thanks to Cody for helping Lane out at practice the other day.)
The Oklahoma State Championship Series Starts Feb 8th (oh, it’s gonna be cold) and we are hoping for the best year yet. This is Lane’s last year on the 65’s so hopefully he can stay healthy and win the state series. Go Lane!
The Kicker Arenacross at Guthrie, Oklahoma was a lot of fun and great practice for Lane. The clutch went out on Lane’s 65cc mod bike, on the last lap of his heat race. He was able to finish the night out with his back-up bike. Lane had a great start in the main and was tearing it up in second place and then went down in a corner and ended up coming back and finishing in 4th place. Tough luck!
Here is a picture of Lane at practice this past Sunday, on his 85.

This weekend we are supposed to be heading to Tulsa for the Kicker Arenacross but we are expecting an ice/snow storm tomorrow and school has been called off for the next 2 days so we are thinking that it will be cancelled. Bummer too, because we look forward to that race very much….and Lane needs all the practice he can get before the first state race on Feb 7th….
